Current Macquarie students and recent graduates are making their marks on the international stage in Egyptology and we are pleased to acknowledge their achievements.
Camilla di Biase-Dyson
BA Ancient History (Hons I), 2003; PhD (Egyptology), 2008
In May 2009, Camilla took up the position of Research
Fellow of the German Research Foundation Excellence Cluster "Topoi: The
Formation and Transformation of Space and Knowledge in Ancient Civilizations" at
the Free University of Berlin and the Humboldt University of Berlin.
Amber Hood
BA Ancient History (Hons), 2006; PhD (current)
Amber has been awarded a prestigious Clarendon Scholarship
to study a MSc Archaeological Sciences Degree at the University of Oxford.
Lesley Kinney
PhD (Egyptology), 2007
Lesley recently published her PhD thesis titled "Dance, Dancers and the Performance Cohort in the Old Kingdom". Professor Kanawati launched the book at Macquarie University on Friday 24th July.
Sasha Verma
MA (Egyptology), 2006
In his final year of a PhD through Leiden University, Sasha has been appointed to the post of Visiting Scholar at New York University and is working with scholars at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Museum on Old Kingdom art and architecture.
